Ryan remotely manages all day to day operations of River North Strength, as well as all client nutrition programs.
Before opening RNS in November of 2018, Ryan was a coach for nearly three years at Strive Village, a private strength and conditioning facility in Chicago, IL, founded by his former collegiate strength coach. There, Ryan worked with a wide-range of clientele including former athletes, business executives and busy moms.
Ryan played five years of NCAA Division I Baseball at the University of Hartford where he was captain for four years. Ryan holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Hartford and a CPT from NSCA. He is also a Nutrition Coaching Specialist certified by NCI.
Ryan and his wife Christy now live in St. Louis, MO -sharing time between there and with family in Richmond.
Director of Training
Blake manages all adult & youth training, programming, and the on-boarding of new coaches here at River North Strength.
Prior to joining the RNS team at the beginning of 2020, Blake began his career as the first Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at Shenandoah University, where he managed all varsity athletics’ strength and conditioning programs. After moving back to Richmond he operated his own performance training company and later served as the Wellness Director at the Goochland YMCA.
Blake played four years of college football at Shenandoah University where he served as captain in his senior year. Blake holds a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the NSCA.
Blake and his wife Meghan live in Powhatan with their five year-old daughter. Away from training, he enjoys "hunting, fishing, and anything outdoors".
Collin joined the River North Strength staff in February of 2020 as a Strength Coach. He will be training both our adult & athlete groups.
Collin comes to RNS with a diverse background in S&C and related fields. He began his career as a professional intern within the VCU Sports Performance Department where he assisted with the development and implementation of strength and conditioning programs for athletes.
Collin continued his coaching career in the Richmond area with a private company where he had the opportunity to work with a wide range of clientele in both the small group and individualized setting. In addition to coaching, Collin spent over two years working alongside Physical Therapists as an aide assisting in patient rehabilitation.
Collin was a NCAA Division I wrestler for Kent State University where he competed at the 149lb weight class.
Collin holds a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
Collin and his fiance Nicolle live in Richmond with their dog.
Jon has been a mainstay at River North Strength ever since the doors opened late 2018. Jon coaches our semi-private sessions early weekday mornings and Saturdays.
Prior to joining the RNS team in June 2019, Jon and his fiance Mallory began as members training in the 6 am groups five-to-six times per week. His work ethic and love for training made him a great fit to come aboard the staff.
Jon played four years of NCAA Division I Baseball at Bryant University and was captain for two years. He holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Bryant University.
